January 27, 2021 is Sanctity of Life Sunday
On January 22, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a presidential proclamation designating the third Sunday of January as National Sanctity of Human Life Day.
Pastors, churches and life organizations across the United States use this day to bring awareness to the attacks that are daily waged against human life through the abortion industry.
One of the best ways we can protect unborn lives is by bringing into the light the darkness of abortion, and supporting local Pregnancy Help Organizations who daily reach women and families with messages of hope and life. (Source: Sanctity of Human Life )
Protecting the unborn and fighting for the right to life for ALL human beings is one of CLW’s core values. It is our mission to partner with local and national organizations to fight against abortion laws and to provide resources to mothers and fathers dealing with a “crisis pregnancy.”
This cause hits close to home for me, especially, because at the age of 20, I found myself with an unexpected pregnancy. Unwed and unemployed, I wasn’t in any place to be raising a child. I made the decision the day before my scheduled abortion, that I just couldn’t go through with it. I backed out and decided that I was going to “make the best of it.”
Being a young, single mom was definitely among the most challenging times of my life. But by the grace of God and the people He put in my path, that unplanned pregnancy is now a beautiful 24 year old young lady. And I can’t imagine this planet without her on it.
God has a purpose for EVERY life. As Conservative Ladies of America we have such a great opportunity to be the hands and feet (and voices!!) of Jesus to preserve the sanctity of human life.
Please stay tuned as we have some exciting opportunities for partnerships to help make a difference in the Right to Life coming up this year.
