2nd Amendment

2nd Amendment

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Our support and defense of the 2nd Amendment is deeply rooted in the principles of individual liberty, self-defense, and the preservation of a free society. We educate and empower citizens to engage in Federal and state level legislation that impacts their Second Amendment Rights.

1. **Individual Liberty and Self-Reliance:** We believe in the importance of individual rights and personal responsibility. The Second Amendment protects the right of law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms, allowing them to take responsibility for their own safety and the safety of their loved ones without relying solely on government agencies.

2. **Protection Against Tyranny:** The framers of the Constitution understood the potential for government abuse of power. The Second Amendment serves as a safeguard against tyranny, ensuring that citizens have the means to defend themselves against any government that might attempt to infringe upon their rights or become oppressive.

3. **Deterrence and Public Safety:** We believe that an armed populace can serve as a deterrent to crime. Criminals are less likely to target individuals or communities where they know citizens are capable of defending themselves. This, in turn, contributes to a safer society where law-abiding citizens can live with greater peace of mind.

4. **Preservation of Individual and Property Rights:** Owning firearms allows law-abiding citizens to protect their property and possessions from potential threats.

5. **Equalizing Force:** The Second Amendment ensures that citizens have the means to level the playing field against criminals who might be physically stronger or more numerous. This empowerment of individuals promotes a sense of self-reliance and personal empowerment. This is especially important for women who are usually at a physical disadvantage against male attackers.

6. **Preventing Dependence on Government:** CLA believe in limited government and self-sufficiency. The Second Amendment supports this ideology by allowing citizens to take an active role in their own security instead of relying solely on government law enforcement agencies.
