Executive Order 9066

Executive Order 9066

When Franklin D. Roosevelt gave his post Pearl Harbor speech to Congress on December 8, 1941, he stated that this “was a date that will live in infamy”. One day prior to FDR’s speech, Japanese planes had inflicted massive damage and casualties to America’s Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, HI. This was probably one of the most impactful presidential speeches ever delivered during a time of crisis. As American’s listened by radio to the Commander in Chief, they knew at that very moment everything in America was about to change.

However, they truly had no idea of the changes in store for some of them. As discrimination, free speech, religious freedom and other civil liberties are under vicious attack today, it’s imperative to remember where we came from. Those that deny history are doomed to repeat it.

Roughly 2 months after delivering his famous speech, FDR signed Executive Order 9066 on February 19th, 1942. This granted the Secretary of War and his commanders unprecedented power “to prescribe military areas in such places and of such extent as he or the appropriate military commander may determine, from which any or all persons may be excluded”. While no specific group or location was mentioned in the order, it was quickly applied to virtually the entire Japanese American population on the west coast of the United States.

They were rounded up and placed in what were called internment camps. Thousands upon thousands of Japanese Americans taken into custody, their property taken, their wealth taken, and children forced to undergo a form of “reeducation”, all of this without due process. This went on for over three years.

As fascism was sweeping through Europe, America delivered its own brand of the oppressive civil rights killing movement, simply because of hysteria from those in charge. As we move forward as a nation in 2021, America teeters on the brink of its own brand of collectivism hysteria.

FDR succumbed to bad advice from political leaders around him and imprisoned an entire American culture. Many of today’s progressive elected leaders are modern-day retreads of this intolerant campaign; and have partnered with big tech and the media to wage a operation of annihilation with anyone that disagrees with them. Cancel culture has injected itself with anti-civil liberty steroids and are flexing their abusive muscles on half of America. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, the tactics being deployed on conservative citizens and their ability to speak freely is the definition of suppression.

The moment COVID hit America it was full speed ahead. Blue states sought only one thing, to essentially intern its tax paying citizens and deploy draconian policies designed to imprison, redistribute wealth and property; and reeducate the youth. If this sound vaguely familiar, it’s because authoritarians have done this throughout the years. Therefore, they need to topple statues, burn history books, deny the past and quell speech that is meant for free and fair debate, despite the Constitutional guarantees our birth rights have given us. Tech companies like Twitter, Facebook and Google; along with the media are guilty of peddling this hysteria to the masses as they carry water for the far left.

In a recent interview on MSNBC, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson and New York Times writer Nikole Hannah-Jones both agreed there is a need for “millions of Americans, almost all white, almost all Republicans to be deprogrammed” and “punished before the country should move on to reconciliation”. This horrific speech is echoed by CNNs Don Lemmon and Chris Cuomo daily. Editor Randall Lane of Forbes magazine has warned companies to “not hire any Trump officials, including WH press secretary Kayleigh McEnaney and former press secretary Sara Huckabee Sanders”. Without holding these intolerant bigots accountable, it will continue to get worse. This non-sense is regurgitated daily in the American media. Their desire to rip America in half will have reverberating affects for years to come.

As of earlier this week, democrat leaders in the house have begun a push for additional background checks on our soldiers guarding our nation’s Capital. They are also requesting a review of our soldier’s voting records in a bid to gauge their loyalty. Hysteria has no boundaries anymore. This is the essence of the cancel culture. If they can make the cops the bad guys, why not our military too? It’s all part of the “How to destroy America” guidebook.

Democrat house lawmaker Steve Cohen (Tenn.) stated that conservative US military personnel reminds him “that former India Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated by her own bodyguards” and further stated “any Trump supporters within National Guard units were suspicious”. Unless there is culpability and accountability for people like Steve Cohen (D) and his cancel culture confidants, I fear America is on a collision course with its own past.

Thanks, and God bless. Vincent
